Updating from eclipse

Hello ,
I am using rapidminer through eclipse.
Although I can install any extension without problem ,if I try to update to rapidminer
I am getting a message that this cant be done because I am running a development build.
Since my version is getting outdated (5.3.006), I  was wondering if anybody knows if I can update
without having to reinstall the whole folder.
THanks

    Hi,

if you are using the RM source files to start RapidMiner you should either have them checked out from SVN (now deprecated) or from GIT (most current version). See here: http://rapid-i.com/rapidforum/index.php/topic,7023.0.html
Otherwise updating them is obviously tedious as these are the files we change on a daily basis to enhance RapidMiner.

    Regards,
    Marco
