RapidMiner Cloud

Hi,

I am investigation if I can use the MIMIC-III database in a RapidMiner Cloud:
This MIMIC III database https://mimic.physionet.org/tutorials/install_mimic_locally/ can be installed using Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) or Microsoft Azure’s SQL Database allowing a relational database to be created on a remote cloud server.
Can I achieve the same using RM Cloud?
The MIMIC-III database must be around 50GB.
What would this cost on average.

My alternatives are a direct access to the database at the university where it is developed,
or using Hadoop/Radoop ecosystem as I used with the MIMIC-II database.

Looking forward to any suggestions.
Sven

    Hi,

I'm not sure I can follow. RM Cloud can be used if you need a large amount of memory or a fast internet connection and don't want to get a Server, set it up, and maintain it.
RapidMiner Cloud simply does what your local Studio does, but does so on a powerful machine with a fast internet connection.

    Hi,
That is exactly what I would like to have. Access, without needing to maintain a server.

    Hi,

then allow me to point you to our docs: http://docs.rapidminer.com/cloud/getting-started/
    and the FAQ: http://docs.rapidminer.com/cloud/faq.html
There you can find some more detailed information and see what the costs are.

    Regards,
    Marco
