Aggregations performance discussion

ZAMZAM Member Posts: 21 Maven
Hello,

I was wondering which would be faster and lead to better performance, to generate aggregates for the data in Rapidminer or generate them outside using SQL or other tools then bring them into Rapidminer.

Thanks and best regards,
ZAM

hello @ZAM from a speed perspective I would guess most of the time SQL is going to be much faster than RapidMiner. I would recommend you use the In-Database extension in RapidMiner and get the best of both worlds.

As for better performance down the road, it should not matter IMHO.
