RAM and hard disk space

SimonKSimonK Member Posts: 20 Learner II
Hi,

How large should RAM and hard disk space be for RapidMiner to compute smoothly and quickly?
(23 attributes with about 6 million numeric values, so about 140 million values in total)

Thanks in advance

Simon

the numbers you are looking for depend a lot on the process that you are using the data in. I just had a look at the Resource Monitor View in Studio when creating a data set of your size and it did so far not exceed 8GB of RAM when used in simple operations in a process. Storing it uses about 1.2GB of disk space. But, as I said, test it with your own process, check the Resource Monitor and you should be able to estimate the required sizes.

    Best,
