Turbo Prep - Correlation

Hello, 

Turbo Prep offers to remove correlated columns. Seems it working for metric types only, so guess there's Pearson behind?
If so, will it check the pre-condition of normal distribution before? A test suggests it wouldn't check the pre-condition.

Is there a way to apply Spearman or Kendall Tau as well in Turbo Prep?
