Rapid Miner Studio will not open. Reports Java Error: 1



Is there any advice to get it back up and running under Windows 8.1, 64 bit with Java 8 Update 25 running.

    Hi,

    RapidMiner Studio runs on Windows 8.1 with Java 8u25. Java error:1 implies that no JVM could be started. RapidMiner Studio by default tries to run with the packaged JRE. Have you accidentally downloaded the 32bit version? Could you open a terminal and run RapidMiner-Studio.bat to see which java gets used?
