There are many potential applications for HR. For example, do you use a NPS survey with employees? If so you could analyze that data and try to predict the factors associated with the highest ratings. Or you could look at employee attrition and try to build a model to predict that. In most cases, you are going to want to define some attribute of interest that you will try to predict. This way you can use supervised machine learning algorithms. Try going through some of the built-in tutorials as well to familiarize yourself with the basics of RapidMiner process design.
