I'm trying to install RapidMiner in my Mac, but keep getting this error "

Unsupported major.minor version 52.0". I already installed Java 8, is there any other place where I should look?

Thanks,

    Hi @arellano,

I assume your JAVA_HOME is still pointing to a different Java version. To check this you can execute

    <SPAN class="token keyword">echo</SPAN> <SPAN class="token variable">$JAVA_HOME</SPAN>

     from the terminal.

    Best,

Yes, this means that Studio is being run by Java 7 or earlier, while we require Java 8. If you enter java -version in the command line, it should show that it is using Java 8. You probably need to edit your path to make sure that the Java 8 binary is picked up first.
