well, i'm talking to myself but in the fwiw column it's def the rapid-miner R installation that is causing the issue.. i deleted that and have had no problems since.. really would like to get this working but the R-extension for whatever reason just does not want to play nice. I'm near certain i have all the variables etc.. set correctly. chalk it up to another R-extension issue.

    Hi,
did you update all extensions? Unfortunately there was a bug, causing to crash RapidMiner 5.1.001 with some of the old extensions. We fixed the bug, but I don't know which extension caused the trouble. I think it was the Text Processing Extension. Did you have it installed?

    Greetings,
    Sebastian
