WARNING: Error executing background job 'Testing Database Connection': java.lang.NullPointerException

On Windows 7 32 bit, java 1.6.027

Latest version of RapidMiner

can connect to database from other software on same machine

please advise

    as far as I can guess from your post this bug has already been fixed and it will work again in the next release.
