Do you think that the RapidMiner roadmap will be updated to include using the Facebook Presto code?

    Hi JEdward,

As soon as Presto has a JDBC driver, you can simply add it as a data source in RapidMiner and query it with the Read Database operator.

If you need deeper integration with Hadoop (e.g. running some parts of the process in Hadoop in parallel), then RapidMiner already supports Hadoop & Hive integration through Radoop (http://www.radoop.eu). We will certainly consider extending the support for Presto if it catches up and appears in many production environments. However, it is still early to tell if Presto will replace Hive in the long run.

    Best, Zoltan
