Can  anyone assist  i have a  a  transaction file  that has a field  for the  product code and a field  for the quantity sold in units .

I would like  to  aggregrate  the sales by  product  code  so it will reflect the total  sales  for a given  product code  since the  transaction file  has  multiple records  with the same  product code.

Simple!  RapidMiner has the "Aggregate" operator that will do the trick.  Use product code as the "group by" attribute and sum(sales) as the aggregation attribute in the parameters and you should have what you need.
