It would be nice if there was an output logging option to view the number of iterations a ML algorithm has currently processed while running; and more importantly how many are run in total.  For example, I'm currently using libsvm.  For one experiment it was running continuously for days and I didn't know what state the learner was in.  Also, when I run it with different parameters, such as changing the value of epsilon, or changing the number of attributes, etc. it would be nice to see how this how this affects the number of iterations that are executed to train the svm.
