I got strange issue with Rapidminer 5.3.0.13 - after creating new local repository, I click ob Import Excel sheet and nothing happend.
Funny enough - on same computer, Rapidminer 5.2.008 is doing without any problems.

Maybe someone solved this mystery ?

I'm on MacOSX 10.6.8, Java ver. 1.6.0_51 from Apple

Thank You in advance

Is process different between 5.2 and 5.3 ? I'm quite new to RapidMiner and was about to start learning how to use it, but ...
    I do it like this:
After Splash screen, I select New Process,
than In left corner, I choose my local repository,
    create folder there
    click on it
than click on button with green arrow above and choose Import Excel sheet - and nothing happened.

If I continue to go through options from this drop-down menu - only last 3 things invoke dialogs for import: Access DB Table, Database Table, Binary File
First 3 is not work at all

    Please help

    Hi,

I just learned you do need Java 7 for the latest RapidMiner versions. If you do not have access to Java 7, you will need to use RM 5.3.008 I'm afraid, or update your OS Lion.
