"Rules from text classification"

Hi! I've been generating some text classification models but now I was asked to extract rules from the classifiers, as in the case of decision trees but when using any other classifier, would it be possible in rapidminer?

Often the Linear SVM is used in the text classification context. That algorithm does not deliver rules, but it creates feature weights - if a word has a high weight (either big positive or big negative value) it means that if the word is present in a document it is likely that the document gets classified either positive or negative. Maybe that's already enough? For us this is a frequently-used standard method.

Otherwise you can try to use the Rule Induction operator, but due to the nature of that algorithm it will probably perform rather bad on text data.

    Best regards,
